Demi-witchly Battles  Host:  Get ready for an epic battle between….dun dun dun…..Annabeth Chase and Hermione Granger!  Hermione: *Lazily checks her nails* Right, who’s my opponent again? Annabelle? Isn’t she that weirdo doll who scares the hell out of people?  Annabeth: Yeah, you got that almost right. She’s the awesome demigod who scares the hell out of creepy wizards and witches.  *Percy, Grover, Harry and Ron enter with tubs of popcorn*  Percy: Dude, I have always wanted to see this fight.  Harry: I know right! I mean Witches vs. Demigods….Just awesome.  Annabeth: Enough of talks, straight to the point.  Hermione: Who’s best friends are an idiot and a half goat?  Really, I thought you were different, but you ended up in the same boat.     Your best friend happens to be a former ‘Pine tree’ .  Your company i

Hunger Games - Poem

The Ballad Of Coriolanus Snow! I have written a poem/ballad, from the perspective of Coriolanus Snow, the very well known president of Panem. In the Hunger Games Trilogy, which is from the perspective of Katniss Everdeen, he is often criticized for being cruel and evil. However, there is a prequel to the trilogy - the ballad of songbirds and snakes (set back 65 years ago) - written from Coriolanus Snow's Perspective. The poem is based on his life. I have not given specific details, in order to leave it a mystery! I hope you enjoy it.  When I was young once,  There had been a terrible war,  Poverty and Hunger overtook us all.  War makes us do the worst,  One distinctive night, when I was dying of hunger and thirst,  I saw my neighbour creep to the side of the lane,  There lay a young woman who was once a maid,  He took out a large, sharp knife, and behold!  Cut her leg, and vanished with it, down the road.  Repulsive, but could I blame him?  He had to eat, despite it being a huma

Teacher's Day Poem

Teacher’s Day Poem This is a poem made by me for my teachers on teachers day to express my gratitude and love for what all they have done for me! You guys rock!! Teachers are like a star in the darkness, They look at their students like a goal, and nothing less. They take our hand and guide us further, They make us learn, they make us stronger.  They never tell us to back down,  Never upon us do they frown.  They push us harder; to do better, Telling us to stop? Never.  They make us carry on, They teach us to fight back,  When to defend, and when to attack.  Teachers deserve more credit than we give,  They are one of the few superheroes to live.  How many times have we said, ‘thank you’? Not enough times to make it true. Well, I guess that’s our cue, HAPPY TEACHER’S DAY TO YOU!

Greed: [Mankind's arrogance]

Greed There were musty, grey, empty lanes,  Two days had passed of thunder, lightning and rain,  People had enough of suffering and pain, It was time to come out,  with swords and guns in their hands, Marching in groups and bands. Mankind conquered the world whole, But they weren't done, they wanted more,  One by one every species fell,  Some surrendered and some rebelled. But after conquering the whole universe, The situation reversed.  Power once it gets in your head, It's as good as being dead. For now, the over arrogant humans, who governed, By chance a new lesson they learnt, Is that you can never truly master nature,  For its mankind's own creator.  A plague struck, the rulers fell like fleas, One could hear cries of agony,  In another week the population halved,  Humans scared, retreated back,  The hold on the world slipped through their hands,  And nature was once again, in command.  -By Shriya Nauhria

Technology

Technology The world is becoming more and more advanced every day, Google, WhatsApp, and Facebook, Every place you take a look. Information and Entertainment, From purchase to rent, iPad, phones, and internet, People are brought together, Online they have met. People are becoming smarter, But everything has its disadvantages, Robots are doing everything nowadays, People are getting fired, Fewer and fewer are getting hired, Workers are losing jobs, More and more robots are getting added to the shops, Factories are creating pollution, Humans are becoming homeless. So, let this advancement be right, Not wrong, Let it help us, Not make us helpless.

Hope

Hope Lightning Crackled, Thunder boomed, Dark, rainy clouds, overhead, loomed. Wet, gloomy, and sorrow, Harsh wind blew, with a voice so hollow. Hope had been given up, the world was in despair, People sat huddled, whispering, ‘how unfair’. The world was never fair, my people, but there’s nothing we can do, Sadness over takes us, Cruelty over truth. In times like these yet, there are miracles, An old beggar woman moved, singing in a voice so lyrical. She held a single lantern, which glowed fiercely, She was in a terrible state, with a face calloused and teary, Her clothes hung loose, and she was all skin and bones, A hardened face and a firm voice, showed she had too long been alone. As she sang people became warm, They swayed in motion, no longer aware of the raging storm. They opened their doors and followed her way, With changed mindsets, they forgot the terrible day. “Hope”, they sang, “is something tha

Remix of Rapunzul

The witch who raised the princess…...                 (remix of Rapunzel) We all have heard the story of Rapunzel. But is it true or does it have a mystery behind it? Why did the witch lock Rapunzel in the tall tower? Or why was the witch so evil that she stole Rapunzel away? Why was Rapunzel’s hair cut off?? If you are referring to the movie or a matter of fact even the old fairy tale story written by the legendary authors – The brothers Grimm, then don’t. For that story is just an opposition of the original one. To keep the children happy and more importantly to hide the truth. What really happened?? Well, read on to find out…... We won’t have her as our princess, your highness. I mean be honest have you ever seen someone with hair so ridiculously short. Not me, not anyone. She is to be executed by the end of this month if her hair doesn’t grow at least a meter long. Yes, executed your highness. Don’t forget this rule was imposed by your own grandfather.
