Teacher's Day Poem

Teacher’s Day Poem This is a poem made by me for my teachers on teachers day to express my gratitude and love for what all they have done for me! You guys rock!! Teachers are like a star in the darkness, They look at their students like a goal, and nothing less. They take our hand and guide us further, They make us learn, they make us stronger.  They never tell us to back down,  Never upon us do they frown.  They push us harder; to do better, Telling us to stop? Never.  They make us carry on, They teach us to fight back,  When to defend, and when to attack.  Teachers deserve more credit than we give,  They are one of the few superheroes to live.  How many times have we said, ‘thank you’? Not enough times to make it true. Well, I guess that’s our cue, HAPPY TEACHER’S DAY TO YOU!

Greed: [Mankind's arrogance]

Greed There were musty, grey, empty lanes,  Two days had passed of thunder, lightning and rain,  People had enough of suffering and pain, It was time to come out,  with swords and guns in their hands, Marching in groups and bands. Mankind conquered the world whole, But they weren't done, they wanted more,  One by one every species fell,  Some surrendered and some rebelled. But after conquering the whole universe, The situation reversed.  Power once it gets in your head, It's as good as being dead. For now, the over arrogant humans, who governed, By chance a new lesson they learnt, Is that you can never truly master nature,  For its mankind's own creator.  A plague struck, the rulers fell like fleas, One could hear cries of agony,  In another week the population halved,  Humans scared, retreated back,  The hold on the world slipped through their hands,  And nature was once again, in command.  -By Shriya Nauhria
